REQUIREMENTS AND INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
To use FlashAssist PRO, you need to have a Windows NT, 2000 or XP PC with Microsoft® eMbedded Visual Tools 3.0 installed, as well as the Pocket PC 2000 SDK and Pocket PC 2002 SDK. NOTE: Applications built with FlashAssist PRO version 1.3 will run on Pocket PC, Pocket PC 2002 and Windows Mobile 2003 for Pocket PC. End users are required to have Flash Player for Pocket PC installed to run FlashAssist PRO built applications.

Microsoft eMbedded Visual Tools 3.0 and the Pocket PC 2000 SDK can be downloaded free at:

To install FlashAssist PRO:

  1. Locate the eMbedded Visual Tools 3.0 Template directory.
    The default install location of the Template directory is:
         C:\Program Files\Microsoft eMbedded Tools\Common\EVC\Template
    This location may be different on your PC if you did not use the default install settings.
  2. Unzip and copy the AppWizard files into the Template directory.
    There are two files to copy:
    FlashAssistPRO.awx: The AppWizard itself
    FLASHASSISTPRO.HLP: The AppWizard help files.
  3. Confirm that the AppWizard is installed by launching eMbedded Visual Tools 3.0, selecting the “File->New…” menu and clicking on the Projects tab.
    If FlashAssist PRO is installed correctly, a new project type,
    “FlashAssist PRO AppWizard”,  should be listed.
  4. You are now ready to create an application using FlashAssist PRO!
